UnTuxed Matinees

A concert experience perfect for grades 6-12!

UnTuxed Matinees offer a unique blend of education and entertainment, making it an ideal field trip or classroom enrichment activity.

Pre-Concert Chat with the Conductor
Kick off the experience with an insightful pre-concert chat led by the RBC Assistant Conductor, Monica Chen. Students will learn about the composers, the historical context of the pieces, and what to listen for in the performance, enhancing their appreciation and understanding of the music.

Live Performance
Following the chat, students will be treated to a live performance where they will hear the previously discussed pieces come to life, experiencing the full emotional and auditory impact of the music.

Q&A Session
The experience concludes with a Q&A session, where students have the opportunity to interact directly with Monica. This is a fantastic chance for them to ask questions about the music, the life of a conductor, or any other musical curiosity they might have

All of this in little over an hour!

Some of our UnTuxed concerts are Relaxed Experiences, providing access to exceptional symphonic musical events in an inclusive environment. Click here to learn more about relaxed experiences.
