The orchestra returns to the south end for an intimate concert at the Desautels Concert Hall.
Join guest conductor Gina Gilbert and the full orchestra in this acoustically stunning space, where there’s truly no bad seat in the house. In a hall this size, you’re never far from the stage. Close enough to see the players, feel the sound in the room, and catch musical details that can disappear in a larger space.
This year’s French-inspired program features music by Maurice Ravel, Germaine Tailleferre – with WSO principal harpist Charlene Chin in the spotlight – Violet Archer, and Georges Bizet, whose youthful Symphony in C bursts with energy and charm.
With three performances over the weekend, Symphony in South Winnipeg offers a relaxed, welcoming way to experience live orchestral music in a more intimate setting outside the downtown core, perfect for regular concertgoers and new listeners alike.
This concert is not on sale yet. It will be available later in the season.
