Throughout our season, we have the pleasure of working with, and introducing audiences to some extraordinary talent from around the globe. Our Community Celebration is an evening dedicated to the talent that exists right in our own backyard. Music Director Daniel Raiskin leads the WSO, and CBC Radio’s Jim Agapito co-hosts this special event that will include an incredible lineup of local singers, instrumentalists and composers.
Rush seating tickets to the Community Celebration are FREE, but you have to reserve them.
WithUs – Calling All Musicians!
The WSO invited community musicians to come, join the orchestra and play music WithUs at the Community Celebration concert. Conducted by WSO Music Director, Daniel Raiskin, local musicians of all ages form a variety of musical backgrounds will join the WSO in an exciting concert finale. Music student of all ages, band teachers, grandparents, and others will have rehearsed with the orchestra the afternoon in preparation for their big performance of Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King from Peer Gynt.
