Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, Choral

The WSO’s season finale concert, Ode to Joy—Beethoven’s Ninth & Special Guest Jan Lisiecki, on Saturday, May 13, is completely sold out. So, the orchestra is opening Friday night’s rehearsal to the public as part of the UnTuxed Open Rehearsal series.

Daniel Raiskin, WSO Music Director and the orchestra will run through Beethoven’s epic ninth symphony in its entirety, along with the CMU Festival Chorus and soloists Marie-Josée Lord, Catherine Daniel, Charles Reid, and Michael Nyby.

The open rehearsal begins at 7 pm on Friday, May 12 at the Centennial Concert Hall. It will run 65 to 75 minutes with an introduction from Raiskin.
