What is the Deal with UNTUXED? The Answers to All of Your Questions and More!
- News
Thursday, October 12 at noon, will mark our first UNTUXED concert of the season. We’ve moved the series from Saturday afternoons to Thursdays at lunch. Our first bite-sized performance features Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 2, one of the works being performed that night at the Fung Plays Shostakovich concert (part of our Thursday Classics series).
Here’s what you need to know:
- Doors open at 11 am. Bring your lunch and make your way up to the Piano Nobile (second level)
- At noon, RBC Assistant Conductor Monica Chen will present a 10 to 12-minute pre-concert chat with wonderful and interesting facts about the work you’re going to hear.
- Afterwards, you’ll be guided into the hall where the orchestra and conductor will perform the work in all its symphonic glory! (Please note that NO food is allowed in the hall).
- The whole UNTUXED experience is about an hour. You’ll be done by 1 pm.
- UNTUXED concerts all have assigned seating, and tickets are just $20 (INCLUDING taxes and venue fees).
- Or you can purchase the whole season (4 concerts) of UNTUXED concerts for just $50.
