Every time I watch the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, it is with renewed gratitude for the artistry of our musicians and their capacity to move and inspire audiences. That we can collectively and consistently experience the music of world-class artists in our own city is a gift we cannot take for granted.

The WSO musicians, conductors, artists, and production and administrative staff are woven into the fabric of our communities with their unique perspectives and contributions to the rich artistic life of Manitoba. They work to ensure that the WSO provides experiences for everyone, from classics to family programs, in fresh interpretations and innovative performances.

Orchestral music is a living and evolving art form. Every year, we engage in artistic collaborations and creative projects that bring classical music to life for today’s engaged, enthusiastic audiences.

Right now, the WSO is in transition. As we move on from the challenges of the pandemic, our vision for the future includes exciting and game-changing plans that we can’t wait to get started on. Plans that we hope will build a sustainable, thriving organization, producing concert experiences in new ways that will take your breath away.
