The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is proud to provide performance opportunities to emerging artists through a variety of partnerships and competitions.
Winnipeg Music Festival
In partnership with the Winnipeg Music Festival, the winners of the Rose Bowl, and of the Aikens Memorial Trophy are provided solo performance opportunities with the orchestra.
Brandon Festival of the Arts
In partnership with the Brandon Festival of the Arts the top instrumental winner is provided a solo performance opportunity at a WSO in Brandon concert.
Student Solo Competition
The annual Student Solo Competition provides students aged 14-18 the opportunity to perform a solo work with the orchestra at an education or community concert.
