University of Manitoba Brass Quintet

The University of Manitoba Brass Quintet is made up of five enthusiastic brass musicians, Rafael Rubio, and Adrian Prado Leon (trumpets), Katie Skwarchuck (horn), Eli Granger (euphonium) and Paulo Rubio (tuba). The quintet is coached by Chris Fensom (principal trumpet of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra). This group formed in September 2023, and has since performed for the pre-concert recital of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestras November 9th concert, the Desautels Faculty of Music open house and has held performances at multiple local schools to share their passion for brass quintet.
