Taylor Eiffert

Originally from Dallas, Texas, M. Taylor Eiffert is currently the 2nd clarinetist of the WSO. Before moving to Winnipeg, he was a freelance clarinetist and music educator in Los Angeles, California where he performed frequently with The Debut Chamber Orchestra, Santa Monica Symphony and American Youth Symphony. Taylor has also been the Bass Clarinet Fellow for the Aspen Music Festival Orchestra for the 2015, 2016, and 2017 seasons.

As a strong advocate of music education, he taught a private studio and served as the primary music teacher for King Lab Middle School and Evanston Township High School’s Youth Organization Umbrella after school program.

Taylor is pursuing his Masters at The University of Southern California’s Thornton School of music under the direction of Yehuda Gilad. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Northwestern University’s Beinen School of Music, where he studied with Steve Cohen and J. Lawrie Bloom. His other primary teachers include Joaquin Valdepenas, David Howard, and Jody Webb.

In his free time, Taylor enjoys woodworking, good coffee and hiking with his dog Sadie.
