Robyn Neidhold
Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, Robyn Neidhold started playing the cello at age 5. Prior to joining WSO, she held positions at the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, and was a regular substitute in the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Robyn’s noteworthy achievements include placing in the American Opera Society of Chicago Scholarship Competition and the Thaviu String Competition.
Robyn holds degrees from Northwestern Bienen School of Music, where she studied with Hans Jørgen Jensen, and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she studied with Eric Kim. Other prominent teachers who have helped Robyn every step of the way include Zuill Bailey, Melissa Kraut, Dmitri Atapine, Emily Uhlman, and her family and friends, who have always provided love and support.
