Kelsey Ronn

Celebrated for her unexaggerated flexibility and resplendent vocal timbre, Soprano Kelsey Ronn is quickly establishing herself as a clever, mesmerizing, gifted singing-actress. Known for being an avid competitor, Kelsey was a runner-up for the reputable 2022 Elizabeth Wirth Vocal Prize. She was also the 2019 North-Dakota/Manitoba District Winner and the Audience Choice Award recipient from The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition (Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions). In 2019, she also won the 2019 Zita Bernstein Lieder Competition, the 2020 University of Manitoba Concerto Competition, and the 2019 Vocal Kinsmen Competition at the Saskatoon Music Festival.

In 2018, Opera Canada said Kelsey was, ‘The most memorable of all the young artists heard [from Opera NUOVA’s Summer Intensive Program]’. ‘Her Dorine in Tartuffe…was fully formed musically and dramatically. She made me want to listen to her, and she made me laugh.’

Kelsey has a Master’s of Music Degree in Opera and Voice from McGill University and holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Manitoba.
