Jun Shao

Jun Shao was born in China and had received his Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from Nanjing Arts Institute in China. He studied at the United States’ International University in San Diego, California from 1987 to 1989 and received his Master’s degree.

He came to Canada in 1989 and was a member of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. He later joined The WSO in 1990. Since then he has also played with Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and MusikBarock ensemble.

Aside from his musical activities, he enjoys playing golf, gourmet cooking, good food and travelling.
