Jeff Dyrda

Canadian violinist Jeffrey Dyrda has enjoyed a diverse career, performing as a concertmaster in Canada, the USA, Europe, and Asia and as a former member of the Rolston String Quartet, with whom he received the prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award, as well as the First Prize of the Banff International String Quartet Competition. He has performed for audiences at many of the world’s most prestigious music festivals and performance halls and is currently the Assistant Concertmaster of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

Jeff holds degrees from Rice University, New England Conservatory of Music, and McGill University, as well as fellowships from the New World Symphony and Yale University. He greatly enjoys performing regularly as a member of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, Lakes Area Music Festival, and Chamber Music @ New Park. Jeff is also an accomplished Jazz saxophonist. He lives in his hometown of Winnipeg with his wife, cellist Grace An, and their son, Franklin. Jeff plays on a 1921 violin by Romeo Antoniazzi.
