Dariyan Dubik

Winnipeg Baritone, Dariyan Dubik is a recent graduate of the Desautels Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba (2024), studying vocal performance under Mel Braun. While at the University of Manitoba, he developed an interest in Oratorio. In 2022, he performed as a chorus member in Handel’s Solomon with the WSO, followed by a role as Baritone soloist and chorus member in Handel’s Messiah with the Convenant Christian Reformed Church in 2023.

He is also very interested in opera, performing in several operas including: Papageno in Mozart’s Magic Flute (Desautels Faculty of Music, 2024), Chorus in Donizetti’s Elixir of Love (Manitoba Opera Association, 2024), Chorus and Role Audit Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen (Manitoba Opera Association, 2024) and Edmund Bertram in Dove’s Mansfield Park (Nuova Vocal Arts, 2023). He has been coached by Tracy Dahl, Monica Huisman, and Katherine Twaddle.

Another area of interest is in Art Song, winning the University of Manitoba Zita Bernstein German Lied Competition (Desautels Faculty of Music) in 2022. He also attended the summer intensive program “Poetry and Performance of the German Lied” in Austria (Franz Schubert Institut) in 2024. He was coached by Elly Ameling and Helmut Deutsch. He also participated in the “Artist in Performance” summer intensive with the Ukrainian Art Song project in Toronto in 2024 and performed in their final public concert, being coached by Benjamin Butterfield, Steven Philcox, Leanne Regehr, and Andrea Ludwig. In September of 2025, he entered a Master’s of Music program at Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the Netherlands, studying under Henk Neven.
