Violist Greg Hay accompanied by Principal Pianist for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Donna Laube. They’ll be performing the music of Kreisler/Gluck, Bach and a few other surprises…

Principal Horn player Patricia Evans accompanied by WSO RBC Assistant Conductor Naomi Woo on piano. Together they’ll be performing music by Mozart and Strauss – a preview of some of the music we have planned as part of the 2020/21 WSO season.


June 5, 12:30 pm | Karl Stobbe

Karl Stobbe is recognized as one of Canada’s most accomplished violinists. As the associate concertmaster for the WSO, soloist, and chamber musician, Karl has been an audience favourite in small settings and large venues. His diverse career has included performances of all six Ysaÿe Sonatas for Solo Violin, all 16 Beethoven String Quartets, and all 10 Mahler Symphonies. Over the course of the pandemic, Karl has taken on a wonderful project, recording live all six of Bach’s Partitas and Sonatas for unaccompanied violin on his Youtube channel. We’ll be treated to Bach’s Sonata No. 3 in C Major for Unaccompanied Violin by Bach.

WSO Concertmaster Gwen Hoebig is surrounded by music at home. Her husband Dr. David Moroz is a graduate of the Julliard School. As a solo pianist he has performed in every major Canadian city, and as a collaborative artist he appears regularly in recital with Canada’s most distinguished musicians. Their two children are also well on their way to distinguished musical careers. Juliana Moroz is an award-winning cellist and Alexander Moroz is an award-winning violist. Join the incredibly talented family for a wonderful afternoon of music.

May 8, 12:30 pm | Jeremy Buzash & Elise Lavallée

Join principal second violinist Jeremy Buzash and assistant principal violist Elise Lavallée for a concert of Argentinian tangos by composers like Carlos Cardel and Astor Piazzolla.
