“Beethoven was all about love and joy and celebrating the essence of what it is to be human, and what it is to be connected.” -Marin Alsop, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain
The WSO invites you to a virtual celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday from the comfort of your own home! This unique evening of musical and gastronomic excellence will provide a rare opportunity for music-lovers to connect in celebration of “what it is to be human.”
We encourage you to invite your friends and loved ones from your unique ‘bubble’ to join you in your home as Maestro Raiskin hosts a 2-hour program filled with memorable, exclusive performances.
Relax and dine from a menu crafted by the Chef of 529 Wellington, sip on wine curated by their sommelier and enjoy being entertained by our special guests James Ehnes, Don Amero, Tracy Dahl, David Moroz and Jan Lisiecki. We are also thrilled to present interludes featuring the Clearwater Quartet.
Of course, the evening would not be complete without an “a la carte” selection of mixed musical offerings from the musicians of our very own Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. To top off your dining experience, we are proud to offer you a delectable dessert, lovingly prepared by our talented WSO Baking Club.
Following your dining experience, we invite you to join us in honouring Tannis Richardson and Michael Nozick with the Golden Baton Award, the WSO’s highest award of recognition presented to individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution to the life and programs of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
