Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G minor belongs to the miraculous trio of the final three symphonies of the 41 he composed just for himself without being commissioned. The 40th is one of Mozart’s most personal statements from his final years and is unlike almost anything else he wrote. Many consider it as the first truly Romantic symphony.
