WNMF 2020: Fire and Blood

American composer Michael Daugherty is one of the most widely performed of his generation. He joins us in person on this opening concert of the Winnipeg New Music Festival for the dazzling Fire and Blood violin concerto. The piece is inspired by the great murals painted by Diego Rivera on the four walls of the Detroit Institute of Arts.
