2018 Holiday Gift Guide
We know it’s still early, but it never hurts to get your holiday shopping done as soon as you can, especially when the snow has decided to stay on the ground a little sooner than usual.
At the WSO, we believe that the best gifts are not the ones that come in boxes, but instead, the ones you experience with your loved ones. Although a pair of tickets look really nice in a gift-wrapped box. Here are our recommendations for your gift-giving season:
The gift of choice! The Trio Pass allows you to choose three of six concerts to see next year – and either you or the recipient can choose which ones! It’s only $109, a $195 value. Check out all the concerts here.
Can’t decide? You don’t have to! Get your loved ones a WSO gift card in any denomination. Just call our box office at 204-949-3999 or visit the Centennial Concert Hall at 555 Main Street.
Ah, those young ones can be so hard to buy for, but you can make it easy on yourself with the Soundcheck pass. For just $85, people aged 15-30 can get access to the entire symphony season. What’s more, they can take a guest (of any age!) for just $30, like to say thank you for getting them such an awesome gift – wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
Dinner & A Symphony
We’ve all been there – rushing from dinner to get to an event you have tickets for. Fear no more, you’ll never miss curtain time again when you dine with the WSO. Our Dinner & A Symphony packages are offered for select concerts throughout the year – on a Saturday performance, come to the Concert Hall early and dine on the Piano Nobile with a fabulous themed meal, catered by Bergmann’s on Lombard. Coming up next: Christmas with the Celtic Tenors on Dec 15.
Tickets, of course
Like we said, the best gift of all is an experience shared together, and what better way to do that than with a WSO concert? We have something for everyone in our 2019 concerts – including Broadway stars, sci-fi geek-outs, a trip back in time, and some of the most iconic classical pieces ever.
And a little something for you?
When you attend a WSO concert this holiday season, you can get Mordens’ Russian Mints in the lobby for only $25 (incl. taxes – a $2 discount off retail prices). When you get a box, you’re supporting our Share the Music program which enables economically challenged families attend WSO performances – but you don’t have to share the mints if you don’t want to. 😉
