Heather Wilson

Heather Wilson joined the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in 2017. Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she completed her Master’s of Music in viola performance at McGill University in 2011 where she studied with André Roy, Philip Dukes, and Wolfram Christ.
Heather has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, the Saskatoon Opera, the Prairie Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and the Banff Festival Orchestra. She has appeared as guest artist for the Ritornello Chamber Music Festival, the Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival, the Amati Quartet, and the Brandon Chamber Players.

With a special interest in teaching young children, Heather has completed several Suzuki teacher training courses. Since 2011, she has enjoyed teaching violin and viola to students aged three to adult.
