Bach to School

IN-SCHOOL ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCES, KINDERGARTEN – GRADE 8

A WSO chamber ensemble visits your school to provide your students an engaging, interactive, and educational performance. Ensembles include string ensembles, brass quintets, and woodwind quintets. One string ensemble can present entirely in French.

FORMAT

Each ensemble shares two 35-minute presentations in one visit, allowing students to be split into two different audience groups, with a break in between. During these presentations, the musicians often invite the students to listen and respond, answer questions, play the instruments, conduct the ensemble group, clap, or sing along to a familiar tune.

ELIGIBILITY

Place your ticket order for Adventures in Music or Musical Discoveries by the deadline date and your school may be eligible to receive a complimentary performance by a WSO Bach to School ensemble.* To be eligible, your school must commit to bring a minimum of 80 students to any one or more of the Musical Discoveries, Adventures in Music or Student Matinee performances in Winnipeg.

If your school group isn’t large enough to qualify for this offer, consider partnering with another school. Each school must commit to bring at least 45 students to a Musical Discoveries and/or Adventures in Music performance. The ensemble presentations will take place at one location. Each school must complete and submit a separate form; please indicate your partner school on the order form.
